Turkey Lasagna Burger
Burgers AND lasagna? This uncommonly delicious Turkey Lasagna Burger sounds almost too good to be true.
Ingredients
½ cup softened butter
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 tsp. minced garlic
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. paprika
⅛ cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 tsp. fresh parsley
1 loaf French bread, sliced horizontally
2 oz. ricotta cheese
6 oz. shredded Italian cheese blend
1 tsp. chopped fresh basil
1 lb. Plainville Farms® Ground Turkey
1 tbsp. dried Italian seasoning
1 tsp. salt
1/8 cup grated parmesan cheese
marinara sauce, basil leaves and slice tomato for garnish
Instructions
Combine butter, mayo, garlic, garlic powder, paprika, parmesan and parsley and spread on the bread. Broil for 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Cut into 5 or 6 equal portions.
Combine ricotta, Italian cheese blend and chopped basil in a bowl. Set aside.
Blend the ground turkey, Italian seasoning, salt, and parmesan and form into 5 or 6 small patties. Grill patties or place patties in skillet on medium heat and fry until done. Spread cheese mixture on patties, cover with a lid and reduce heat to low until the cheese melts, about 2-3 minutes. Spread marinara on the garlic bread. Top with burger patty, basil leaves, tomato and enjoy. Serves 5-6.
